Advancing Recyclable Polymers and composites: Safety, Sustainability, and Material Innovation
Hybrid Workshop | 2nd October 2025, Lisbon, Portugal

The REDONDO project is excited to announce the upcoming, hybrid workshop in  Advancing Recyclable Polymers and composites: Safety, Sustainability, and Material Innovation. The workshop will be hosted in Lisbon by the Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade (ISQ), the largest Portuguese technological infrastructure, will be held on October 2nd in ISQ facilities. 

The Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework is gathering significant attention as a guiding principle for innovation, due to growing environmental challenges and evolving regulatory frameworks. The workshop will bring together recognized experts presenting diverse approaches to materials characterization, safety, and sustainability assessments relevant to the development of materials in line with SSbD principles. The program also includes perspectives on standardization and legislation, creating a forum for sharing best practices and exploring SSbD’s role in advancing responsible innovation.
