MASTERBATCHES FORMULATION

Masterbatches are additive concentrates in granules. They are used for colouring or modifying the properties of the polymers. The content in colour, mineral filler or stabilisers is higher than in the final product.
In REDONDO 2 types of masterbatches will be prepared:

• Catalyst masterbatch with antioxidants

It is based on a polyolefin carrier with a hydrolysis/condensation catalytic agent. The reaction rate is driven by the concentration of agent.

• Flame retard masterbatch

It is based on polyolefin carrier with a mineral filler that contains stabilisers and lubricants.
